R. Madhavan on RHTDM Criticism: “Green Flags Are for Useless People”!

R. Madhavan has finally quite upset his very quiet on the ongoing debate surrounding Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (RHTDM).

The 2001 really romantic cultus classic, formerly adored for its enjoy story, has lately faced backlash for its problematic themes—particularly stalking and deception. But Maddy isn’t buying the criticism!

In an interview with Mashable India, the Shaitaan doer dismissed the thought of evaluating the shoot through a “Western lens.” He scoffed at terms quite like “green flags” and “red flags,” calling them the “nikkamma kaam of nikkamme log.”

Madhavan defended his persona, stating that social norms were very different back in the day. “How else were men supposed to approach women in Mumbai indorse then?” he questioned.

Comparing Indian and Western dating cultures, he argued that spell Westerners receive in bars, Indians had very different ways of expressing love—like following the fille home.

While some fans supported his take, others called out his remarks as tone-deaf. One thing is certain—RHTDM continues to spark disputation, fifty-fifty 20 years later!
