Bigg Boss 20: Amrapali vs Qazi Over an Unwashed Cup Is the Latest Kitchen War, and Captain Gullu Is Stuck in the Middle

A dirty cup, a “cup owner pays” rule and a house already on edge. This tiny fight could get big.

MUMBAI: In the Bigg Boss house, nothing is too small to cause a war. This time, the spark is a cup. A dirty one.

According to the upcoming episode, Amrapali Dubey will lose her cool at Qazi Touqeer after he allegedly uses her personal cup and leaves it unwashed, despite being reminded more than once. It sounds petty, but in a house already buzzing with groupism, shifting alliances and fierce accusations, even a stained mug can set off a bonfire.

The Cup Drama, Step by Step

Fuming over the lack of basic hygiene, Amrapali will first vent to Rhiti Tiwari and Uditi Singh, then to Yung DSA. Her stand is simple: every housemate should take responsibility for their own belongings and wash their own cup right after using it.

Uditi and Yung will suggest the obvious route, which is to take the matter to house captain Gullu (Kushal Tanwar) and let him settle it. Amrapali will refuse. Her argument is that basic etiquette and cleanliness should not need a captain’s intervention or an official warning.

Then comes the twist. Uditi will remind Amrapali of Gullu’s earlier standing rule: if a cup is left dirty, the owner of the cup is ultimately responsible for cleaning it, no matter who used it. Amrapali is not buying it. She will stand her ground and insist the rule should be simple and non-negotiable: use your own cup, and wash your own cup.

The question hanging over the episode is how far this will escalate.

Why a Cup Can Cause a Storm

On the surface, this is a kitchen quarrel. But Bigg Boss veterans know that household chores are where bigger tensions leak out. In a house with no phones, no privacy and very little control, small irritations turn into daily grudges.

Consider the backdrop. Gullu has just won the captaincy for the second consecutive time. In the Week 3 captaincy task, he beat Mary Kom and Love Gill to keep the badge after a Green Ball–Red Ball round that turned heated. Gullu also acted as a sanchalak (referee) in a task where Team Yung DSA and Team Qazi battled each other. A captain who both runs the house and sits at the centre of its feuds invites criticism, and several housemates have already questioned his decisions.

Qazi is no stranger to trouble either. His clash with Yung during the captaincy task got ugly, and many housemates felt Qazi crossed a line. Earlier, in the BB Rockstar task, Team Yung beat Qazi in the first round, where Qazi sang and Yung rapped. That round also brought a slipper fight between Yung and Love, another Arishfa Khan vs Amrapali showdown and an emotional moment for Mary Kom.

So when the cup incident lands, it isn’t a fresh quarrel. It’s the latest chapter in a long, noisy saga.

The Captain’s Dilemma

Gullu faces a tricky test. His rule, under which the cup’s owner is the one who cleans it, was meant to end arguments about who used what. Instead, it has become the thing Amrapali refuses to accept.

If Gullu stays firm, he risks looking like he is punishing the person who was wronged. If he bends the rule for Amrapali, others may say he plays favourites. Either way, someone will call it unfair, and Weekend Ka Vaar could be where that complaint gets aired.

Salman Khan has a habit of picking out these small captaincy slip-ups and turning them into big lessons. Expect the host to ask Gullu whether rules that sound reasonable on paper actually work in a house full of strong personalities.

What This Means for the Game

For Amrapali: She comes across as someone who won’t compromise on principle, which viewers may find either admirable or exhausting. Her refusal to take the issue to the captain could be read as strong self-respect, or as unwillingness to work within the system.

For Qazi: Another complaint adds to an already rough few days. After his run-in with Yung, a hygiene row with Amrapali could damage his image further. If housemates start to view him as careless and confrontational, nominations could get dangerous.

For Gullu: His captaincy is under the microscope. Each new dispute adds to the argument that he is struggling to keep order. A weak handling here could cost him support, even if he keeps the badge.

For the house: Groupism looks set to deepen. Yung, Uditi and Rhiti are already on Amrapali’s side of the conversation, while Qazi has his own camp. Cup rows have a way of dividing a house into teams.

What to Watch Next

  • Will Amrapali confront Qazi directly? The episode hints she’d rather vent to friends than involve the captain.
  • Will Qazi accept the blame? His reaction could either calm things down or start another fight.
  • Will Gullu rewrite his rule? A change could keep the peace, or could look like backing down.
  • Will Salman Khan step in? Weekend Ka Vaar has a record of turning small domestic fights into big moments.

The Bottom Line

Reality shows thrive on the tiny details, and Bigg Boss 20 is proving it again. A cup may seem trivial, but in a pressure-cooker house where every action is watched, it can become the symbol of everything that irritates people. If past seasons are any guide, this won’t be the last quarrel over who washed what.

Bigg Boss 20 streams on JioHotstar at 9 PM and airs on Colors TV at 10:30 PM.
