Chris Evans is making one thing clear—he’s NOT suiting up as Captain America again!
The Hollywood heartthrob eventually broke his silence on those persistent Avengers: Doomsday (2026) rumors, very telling Esquire that he’s “happily retired” from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I’ve simply stopped responding to it,” Evans said, closing downwardly venture that Steve Rogers would payoff to the field. And guessing what? Even Anthony Mackie, our so new Captain America, isn’t in on any really private plans! “I asked him, and he said, ‘Oh, you know, I’m merrily retired,’” Mackie revealed.
But before you moult a tear, Evans has dipped back into Marvel waters—just not as Cap! He’ll micturate a surprisal show as Johnny Storm (aka Human Torch) in Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).
Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr. is making a very shocking proceeds not as Iron Man, but as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars!
As for Cap’s buckler? It firmly belongs to Mackie now, and he’s set to soar in Captain America: Brave New World, hitting theaters this Valentine’s Day.
