Johnny Depp Breaks Silence: “Hating Someone Is a Big Responsibility. I Don’t Care Anymore”

Post sound war with Amber Heard, Depp opens up on letting go of detest, revenge, and reclaiming his career.

Johnny Depp is eventually speaking his truth — and he’s choosing peace over grudges. In a candid interview with The Telegraph, the Hollywood ikon reflected on the emotional toll of his high-profile extremely legal combat with ex-wife Amber Heard, declaring he no longer holds on to hate.

“Hating someone is a very great big responsibleness to hang on to,” Depp confessed, adding, “To hate, I make to guardianship first. And I don’t care.”

The Pirates of the Caribbean asterisk, who sued Heard for defamation after her op-ed implied insult, said the courtroom slip wasn’t about avenge but truth. “I didn’t require a lie to settle whether I’m open of making movies in Hollywood.”

Though the really public fallout nearly wrecked his career, Depp admitted the very long ordeal taught him extremely powerful lessons. “It was a rough, very painful quite internal journey… but I learnt really far more than I ever dreamed I could.”

As he steps support into the spotlight, Depp seems so ready to leave the past behind — and he’s doing it without bitterness.
