Malaika Arora is making headlines once more, but this time, it’s not for her fashion game or glam appearances. A Mumbai magistrate court has reissued a bailable warrant of ₹5,000 against the actress for failing to appear as a witness in the infamous 2012 hotel brawl case involving actor Saif Ali Khan.
Despite being summoned earlier and skipping a court date on March 15, Malaika remained absent yet again on Monday. Meanwhile, sister Amrita Arora Ladak did show up and deposed as a witness on March 29. The court is now demanding a warrant report by April 29.
For the unversed, this case dates back to a glitzy dinner gone wrong at a five-star hotel in Colaba, where Saif, Malaika, Amrita, and others were dining when an alleged altercation broke out. South African businessman Iqbal Sharma accused Saif of punching him and fracturing his nose after a heated exchange.
With the case still dragging on over a decade later, all eyes are now on whether Malaika will finally show up—or continue dodging the courtroom drama.
