Superstar Rajinikanth may be neck-deep in the high-octane shoot of Jailer 2, but the icon recently took a spiritual break that sent fans into a frenzy! En route to the set, Thalaiva made a surprise visit to the ancient Matheswaran Shiva Temple — a 400-year-old marvel that was rediscovered in 1997 after being lost to time. Dressed in classic traditional attire, Rajini’s entry was nothing short of regal as he was warmly welcomed by temple priests and authorities.
But the spiritual vibes didn’t stop fans from going full fan-mode! Videos of the actor arriving in his swanky black MG Hector (worth ₹18 lakh!) quickly went viral, especially when Rajini popped out of the sunroof to greet a sea of cheering fans shouting “Thalaiva!” in unison.
The action legend is currently filming Jailer 2 with director Nelson Dilipkumar and co-stars Ramya Krishnan and SJ Suryah. And if that wasn’t enough Rajini for 2025, he’s also all set to bring the heat in Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, releasing August 14.
