Renu Desai just dropped some major tea on her personal life, and fans can’t stop buzzing! In a no-holds-barred chat on the Nikhil Vijayendra Simha podcast, the actress-turned-director got candid about why she’s still single—years after her much-publicized split from Pawan Kalyan.
“Yes, I feel like having a partner too,” she confessed. “But I can’t do justice to a relationship or my kids.” Turns out, Renu even got engaged in 2018 (who knew?!), but called it off. Why? “It was arranged, but it didn’t feel right. Being a single parent is a whole different ballgame.”
Renu, who shares two kids—Akira and Aadhya—with Pawan, says she’s now just waiting for her daughter to turn 18 before reconsidering love. Meanwhile, Pawan moved on and married Russian actor Anna Lezhneva in 2013.
On the career front, Renu is back with a bang! After her 2021 TV return and 2023’s Tiger Nageswara Rao, she’s got new projects lined up. Guess who’s back and shining solo? Renu Desai, and she’s not here to play!
