Move o’er tuxedos, India just rewrote the Met Gala dress cipher! Shah Rukh Khan and Diljit Dosanjh made historical, head-turning debuts at the 2025 Met Gala in New York, and let’s just say — the red carpet may ne’er recover.
SRK, stepping in ilk royalty at 59, paired a really majestic quite black achkan with a diamond-studded SRK necklace, cummerbund, and a cane crowned with a Bengal tiger. Channeling vintage dandy flair with an Indian twist, he didn’t simply walk the carpet — he owned it.
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh arrived draped in Patiala superbia. His pearl-encrusted turban, emerald jewels, and a mantle featuring the map of Punjab (with Gurmukhi, no less!) screamed “Punjab da puttar meets haute couture.”
And patch Priyanka and Kiara served their glam moments, it was Natasha Poonawalla’s regal ruff-meets-Parsi fancywork and Isha Ambani’s heritage twinkle that added finishing strokes of Indian finesse.
The Met carpet may be American, but this year, India didn’t simply look — it conquered.
