After a turbulent start to the season, Qazi Touqeer and Aman Gandhi decide to stop feeding house drama, with Qazi declaring, “Muddha chahiye tha, mil gaya… ab mute button on!”

Bigg Boss 20 has barely completed its opening stretch, but the house already feels like a pressure cooker—and Qazi Touqeer has decided that his latest weapon is not another argument.
It is silence.

In an upcoming episode, Qazi and Aman Gandhi are seen discussing a completely different strategy for surviving the increasingly chaotic Bigg Boss 20 house. Rather than reacting to every accusation, argument or attempt to provoke them, the duo plans to hit the “mute button” and give their fellow contestants nothing new to fight about.
Qazi’s declaration says it all:
“Muddha chahiye tha, mil gaya… ab mute button on!”
Translation? The house wanted a topic. It got one. Now Qazi intends to stop supplying more material.
And if the strategy works, it could completely change the dynamics around one of the season’s more visible contestants.

Qazi Touqeer Is Done Feeding the Drama?
Qazi’s decision comes after several confrontations during the early days of Bigg Boss 20.
The singer has already found himself involved in arguments with multiple housemates, including Yung DSA, Arishfa Khan and Aamrapali Dubey. Early episodes have established Qazi as one of the contestants willing to speak his mind, but that visibility has also repeatedly pulled him into conflicts.
Now, instead of playing into that cycle, Qazi appears ready to change his approach.
While talking to Aman, he explains that certain housemates are actively looking for an issue that can be turned into another discussion or confrontation.
His answer?
Don’t give them one.
It is a simple strategy—but inside Bigg Boss, simple strategies can be surprisingly difficult to execute.
“Audience Andhi Nahi Hai”: Qazi’s Earlier Warning
This isn’t the first time Qazi has criticised what he sees as unnecessary drama.
During a conversation with Mahhi Vij, Uditi Singh and Arishfa Khan, Qazi reportedly questioned the need for certain confrontations involving Aamrapali.
He explained that Isha Rikhi had repeatedly encouraged him to speak to Aamrapali and resolve the situation, despite Qazi making it clear that he did not want to have that conversation.
Qazi questioned why Isha was trying to mediate when, from his perspective, there was no genuine issue that needed resolving.
His larger point was that manufacturing a fight simply for television visibility can eventually become obvious to viewers.
That is when he used the now-discussed line:
“Audience andhi nahi hai.”
In other words, Qazi believes viewers can distinguish between a genuine disagreement and a confrontation created for attention.
Whether viewers agree with him is another matter—but the statement reveals how he wants to position himself in the game.
Aman Gandhi Joins the “Mute Button” Plan
Qazi isn’t alone.
Aman Gandhi appears to agree with the idea that constantly explaining yourself inside the house can actually create more problems.
Aman points out that their attempts to be kind and helpful have sometimes been interpreted by other contestants as “buttering.”
His complaint is simple: what they consider genuine friendliness is being portrayed by others as strategic behaviour.
Aman says:
“Humari galti hai ki hum kindness dikhate hain, log use buttering samajhte hain.”
That observation gives the new strategy a second dimension.
Qazi and Aman aren’t merely trying to avoid fights.
They are trying to prevent their ordinary behaviour from being converted into another Bigg Boss storyline.
Lovepreet Gill Becomes Part of the Equation
The strategy is particularly interesting because Lovepreet Gill has emerged as one of the housemates connected to the ongoing conversations and potential conflicts around Qazi.
The idea, as Qazi and Aman discuss it, is to stop providing fresh material that others can use against them.
If another contestant wants to discuss Qazi, there may be nothing new to discuss.
If someone wants to provoke him, he won’t respond.
If someone tries to turn a minor disagreement into a major confrontation, he intends to stay quiet.
It sounds almost anti-Bigg Boss.
After all, reality television thrives on reactions.
A contestant who refuses to react can either become invisible—or become even more intriguing.
The Big Question: Can Silence Actually Work in Bigg Boss?
That is where Qazi’s strategy becomes fascinating.
Inside the Bigg Boss house, silence is not necessarily neutral.
If you don’t defend yourself, other contestants may create their own version of events.
If you don’t respond to an accusation, viewers may interpret the silence in different ways.
And if you refuse to participate in a fight, the other person may simply increase the pressure until you finally react.
So Qazi’s “mute button” is easier said than done.
The strategy will only work if he and Aman remain consistent.
One explosive argument could immediately undo the entire plan.
Qazi Has Already Learned How Quickly Things Escalate
Recent episodes show just how quickly disagreements involving Qazi can spiral.
In one early confrontation, Qazi and Yung DSA had a heated exchange that required intervention from other housemates. Qazi also became involved in arguments with Arishfa and Aamrapali during the opening days of the show.
Aamrapali and Qazi’s equation has itself already produced plenty of television.
During an earlier captaincy-related clash, Aamrapali confronted Qazi and accused him of inappropriate behaviour towards women, while Qazi continued defending his position.
More recently, Aamrapali’s disagreements with Mahhi Vij have created another major source of tension inside the house, showing just how quickly one argument can lead to another.
Against that background, Qazi’s decision to stop reacting is understandable as a game strategy.
But Could the ‘Mute Button’ Backfire?
Absolutely.
The biggest danger is that silence could be interpreted as arrogance, avoidance or weakness.
Bigg Boss viewers don’t just watch contestants during major tasks. They watch conversations, friendships, reactions, body language and everyday behaviour.
If Qazi becomes too quiet, viewers may begin wondering whether he has lost his individuality.
But if he manages to stay calm while everyone around him is fighting, the opposite could happen.
He could emerge as the contestant who refuses to be dragged into every controversy.
And that would be a significant change from the Qazi viewers have seen so far.
Aman and Qazi Could Become a New Strategic Duo
The other interesting development is the growing understanding between Aman and Qazi.
Until now, Bigg Boss 20 has seen several friendships and groupings begin to take shape. But the Qazi-Aman equation could develop into something different.
They are not necessarily promising to create a powerful alliance or attack another group.
Their strategy is defensive:
Don’t give anyone ammunition.
That could make them difficult to target.
If someone accuses them, they stay calm.
If someone provokes them, they don’t respond.
If someone tries to create a storyline around them, they refuse to participate.
But reality television has a funny habit of destroying even the best-laid plans.
What Happens If the House Keeps Provoking Them?
This is where the upcoming episodes could get interesting.
If Qazi and Aman stick to the strategy, they could force other contestants to change their approach.
Instead of getting an immediate reaction, rivals may have to find a different way to challenge them.
That could lead to more strategic nominations, task confrontations or alliance-building.
On the other hand, if Qazi eventually loses patience, the resulting explosion could be even bigger precisely because viewers have watched him deliberately hold back.
The “mute button” could therefore become either a survival strategy or a ticking time bomb.
Bigg Boss 20’s Drama Is Only Getting Bigger
The latest development comes at a time when the Bigg Boss 20 house is already packed with shifting equations.
The season’s contestants include Kanika Mann, Aasif Khan, Qazi Touqeer, Isha Rikhi, Aamrapali Dubey, Rohed Khan, Love Gill, MC Mary Kom, Yung DSA, ScoutOP, Arishfa Khan, Gullu, Aman Gandhi, Uditi Singh, Rhiti Tiwari and Mahhi Vij.
With such a varied group under one roof, disagreements were always likely.
The interesting part is that contestants are now beginning to understand the bigger game.
It’s no longer just about winning a task.
It’s about controlling the narrative.
Qazi and Aman appear to have reached their own conclusion: if other contestants need drama to survive, they won’t provide it for free.
Will the Mute Button Become Qazi’s Biggest Weapon?
That remains the million-dollar question.
Qazi has already shown that he can argue.
Now he wants to prove that he can refuse to argue.
If the strategy works, he could deprive his rivals of exactly what they want—a reaction.
If it fails, however, the pressure could build until the “mute button” finally breaks.
And when that happens, Bigg Boss viewers may get an even bigger explosion.
For now, Qazi’s message to the house is simple:
You want a mudda? Find someone else.
Because Qazi Touqeer and Aman Gandhi have officially put themselves on mute.
And in a house where everyone is desperately searching for the next big fight, silence might just become the loudest strategy of all.
Bigg Boss 20 streams daily on JioHotstar at 9 PM and airs on Colors TV at 10:30 PM.
