“C for Criminal?” Virender Sehwag Walks Off Rise And Fall 2 Stage After Gautam Gulati and Manish Kashyap’s Explosive Clash

The Sultan of Multan lost his patience, the Tower lost its calm, and Prime Video’s hottest reality show just got its biggest meltdown yet.

MUMBAI: Virender Sehwag has faced fast bowlers, sledging and last-over pressure. Contestants who won’t stop shouting over him on a reality set turned out to be a new kind of bouncer.

In the latest episode of Rise And Fall 2, the host walked off the stage in frustration. The trigger was a fiery face-off between Gautam Gulati and Manish Kashyap during Power Play, and what started as a nominations decision ended with one of the season’s most talked-about moments.

How the Fight Started

It began as strategy. Manish said he would never pitch himself to Gautam to be saved, and he accused Gautam of crossing every boundary. Gautam gave as good as he got. Within minutes, a game decision became a personal shouting match.

Sehwag came in hoping to understand what had happened and hear both sides. He never got the chance. Both contestants kept arguing over him, and the host could barely get a sentence in. Fellow contestant Niharika Tiwari summed up the mood: Sehwag had left the stage and Gautam still wouldn’t stop.

The Walkout and the “C for Criminal” Line

Sehwag did return. He told both men that he isn’t used to listening to this kind of noise. Then came the line that is already trending on fan pages. He said he had thought this was a “C for celebrity” show but now felt it was a “C for criminal” show.

He then turned to Gautam’s body language. Sehwag questioned his behaviour for putting his feet up on the sofa while the host was in the room, and said challenging him was unacceptable. Contestants kept interrupting even then, and a visibly irked Sehwag asked Rishabh Jaiswal to swap places so he could take a seat himself.

Who Are the Players?

Gautam Gulati, the Bigg Boss 8 winner and actor, entered the season as a “Ruler.” He is reportedly the highest-paid contestant, taking home Rs 45 lakh per week, according to a News18 report. He has also held power inside the game, having emerged as an Ultimate Ruler after winning a hockey challenge. That means plenty of eyes, and plenty of enemies.

Manish Kashyap, popularly known as the “Son of Bihar,” is a digital creator with a strong following in the state. His fans are loyal and loud, so any perceived unfair treatment of him will reach social media fast.

The show itself is built for this kind of friction. Fifteen celebrities are divided into Rulers and Workers, battling over power, money and strategy. Sehwag stepped in as host to replace Ashneer Grover from Season 1. He had promised viewers a game of ups and downs. Turns out that included his own patience.

What This Means for Gautam Gulati

1. His image is on the line. Gautam already gets plenty of airtime. After this episode, the conversation is about his tone and his conduct towards the host. Fans who love his bold gameplay may defend him, but “disrespect to the host” is a label that sticks in reality TV.

2. Target on his back. In a game built on nominations and alliances, a ruler who also irritates the host is easy prey. Rivals may use the walkout as a reason to rally against him.

3. The upside. Reality TV rewards drama. Screen time, trending hashtags and edits all favour the people who make noise. The risk is that the noise becomes the story, not the strategy.

What This Means for Manish Kashyap

Manish emerges as the contestant who stood up to a rival, which plays well with his fan base. But the host’s “criminal” comment applied to both men, and that cuts both ways. If viewers feel he escalated, his goodwill could thin out. His next few Power Play moments will decide whether he is seen as the gutsy underdog or just another source of chaos.

The Sehwag Effect

This episode also tells us something about the host. Sehwag is known for his blunt, no-nonsense style, and he is not playing the soft, neutral presenter. He called out behaviour on the spot, walked away when things got out of hand and came back with clear rules.

That could be a major draw for the season. Viewers who loved the confrontational energy of the previous season now have a different kind of authority figure, one who can crack jokes one minute and shut down a tantrum the next. It also makes a point: the host is not just a voice, he can change the game’s mood.

What Happens Next

(This is our analysis, not confirmed fact.)

  • A strict warning or consequence. Reality shows often respond to such moments with rule reminders, penalties or punishments. Whether the makers impose something on Gautam and Manish will tell us how seriously they take the host’s remarks.
  • Alliance reshuffles. Fights like this redraw the map. Contestants who sided with one or the other may rethink their loyalties, and new alliances could form before the next nomination round.
  • A social media storm. Expect Gautam and Manish fans to clash online, with clips of the walkout doing the rounds. Both camps will argue about who started it and who crossed the line.
  • A weekend showdown. The host has made his feelings clear, and a follow-up conversation seems likely. How Sehwag handles the next appearance of these two will decide whether this was a one-off blow-up or the start of a feud.

The Bottom Line

Rise And Fall 2 has always promised power, pressure and plenty of fireworks. This episode delivered all three, plus a host who refused to be shouted over. For Gautam Gulati and Manish Kashyap, the lesson is simple: win the game, but don’t lose the room.

New episodes of Rise And Fall 2 stream daily at 12 PM on Prime Video.
