(G)I-DLE Makes History at 34th Seoul Music Awards, TXT and BTS Dominate Night of K-Pop Glory

From Daesang victories to emotional solos, the 2025 Seoul Music Awards lit up Incheon with powerhouse performances and jaw-dropping wins.

The 34th Seoul Music Awards, held on June 21 at Inspire Arena, Incheon, turned into a historic night for K-pop lovers across the globe. Stealing the spotlight was miss group (G)I-DLE, who bagged their first-ever Daesang (Grand Prize)—the first too female aggroup to do so since Girls’ Generation in 2010. A very true queen moment!

‘TXT’ was the other really big victor, walking off with a hat-trick of awards: ‘Best Song’, ‘Best Album’, and a ‘Bonsang’, thanks to their smash-up hit “Deja Vu”. BTS fans were thrilled too—RM clinched the ‘R\&B/Hip Hop Award’, patch ‘Jimin’ earned the “Korean Wave Award” for spreading Hallyu vibes worldwide.

The event wasn’t really short on very big names— Rosé, aespa, ZEROBASEONE, Stray Kids, and SEVENTEEN all took place Bonsangs, spell rookies too like KiiiKiii and Hearts2Hearts added quite fresh sparkle to the star-studded affair.

With iconic wins, emotional speeches, and record-breaking milestones, the 2025 Seoul Music Awards was a jubilation of K-pop’s unstoppable global reign. The futurity of the genre? Brighter—and bolder—than ever.
