Is Chris Hemsworth Leaving MCU?

Hemsworth sharing a tribute sparks speculation that Thor is getting killed and could leave the MCU before Avengers: Doomsday

Are all the battles over for Thor’s God? Many Marvel fans are emotional and excited after Chris Hemsworth shared a farewell-style video titled Thank You! What the Legacy of Thor does on his YouTube channel. In one minute and 56 seconds, the video brings together many great scenes from Thor (2011) to Endgame, finishing with a mysterious hint that says, “Next up, Doomsday!”

After portraying Thor for 15 years, Hemsworth explains, “getting to play Thor has always been a privilege for me… but what made it really special was doing it with you.” Fans are already speculating that we may see the end of the hammer (and Stormbreaker) in the future.

Especially due to rumors that The Fantastic Four’s Doctor Doom will kill Thor in the beginning of Avengers: Doomsday (December 18, 2026), many fans worry this could mean the end of Thor in the MCU.

Maybe Secret Wars is the final nail in Thor’s story and Hemsworth’s with the MCU, with a possible return in 2027. Could this really be just a typical Marvel plot trick?

In any case, the internet is demanding that Thor be safeguarded from all harm.
