Amid swirling rumors of Ranveer Singh reviving Shaktimaan, the actor’s team shuts it down—while Mukesh Khanna isn’t holding back on his opinion either.
Sorry, folks—Ranveer Singh won’t be donning the iconic red suit of Shaktimaan anytime soon. Despite viral buzz claiming the actor had acquired the rights to reboot India’s beloved superhero franchise, Singh’s team has officially denied the chatter.
In a statement released to Hindustan Times, the actor’s reps said, “The news about Ranveer Singh acquiring rights of developing a new superhero (Shaktimaan) project as the producer holds no truth.” They clarified that the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani star is currently tied up with Dhurandhar, directed by Uri fame Aditya Dhar, followed by Don 3 with Farhan Akhtar.
Meanwhile, Mukesh Khanna—forever synonymous with Shaktimaan—has also weighed in. He admitted meeting Singh but bluntly added, “He looks fickle… like he’ll con someone.” Though Khanna praised Singh’s acting chops and electric energy, he flat-out said, “I haven’t approved him for the role.”
Singh’s next big screen appearances include Dhurandhar and Don 3, with whispers about a role in Brahmastra 2 still unconfirmed.
The superhero saga continues—just without Ranveer in the cape… for now.
