John Abraham is all about keeping it real, and when it comes to friendships in Bollywood, he knows who’s got his back. In a recent chat with Filmfare, the Pathaan star showered praise on filmmaker Karan Johar, calling him “one of the most wonderful people” he’s ever met.
John recalled how, after a four-year hiatus, many in the industry had written him off. But when he made his comeback with Parmanu, Karan was one of the first to give him honest feedback. “He told me what worked and what didn’t. There’s a lot of criticism around Karan, but I’m a strong supporter of his—he doesn’t deserve it,” John said.
He also revealed that Aditya Chopra is his toughest critic. “Aditya doesn’t sugarcoat anything. If something’s bad, he’ll straight up ask, ‘Why did you mess this up?’ And if it’s good, you’ll get a simple nod,” John shared, recalling their school days at Bombay Scottish with Hrithik Roshan and Uday Chopra.
Looks like honesty and tough love are the secret ingredients to John’s success!
