Former 90s actress Mamta Kulkarni recently set the record straight on claims that she paid Rs. 10 crore to become the Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara, a position she held briefly before being expelled due to internal tensions. Appearing on Aap Ki Adalat, Kulkarni denied the allegations, revealing that she does not even possess Rs. 1 crore. In an emotional moment, she shared, “Forget Rs 10 crore; my bank accounts are sealed, and I had to borrow Rs 2 lakh to offer as dakshina to my guru when I was made Mahamandaleshwar.”
The Karan Arjun actress further elaborated on her ongoing financial struggles, mentioning that her apartments are in poor condition due to lack of maintenance for over two decades. Kulkarni also recalled her involvement in a case where she was wrongfully implicated by a CBI official, later humiliated and removed from his position, with the case dismissed by the High Court.
Defending her spiritual knowledge, Kulkarni recited a Rigveda mantra to prove her understanding, leaving the audience impressed. Despite her brief tenure, Mamta Kulkarni’s journey as a spiritual figure remains a topic of curiosity and controversy.
