Nicole Kidman’s Bold Move in Babygirl Left Even the Director Nervous!

Nicole Kidman has ne’er shied aside from daring roles, but her modish venture in Halina Reijn’s Babygirl had still the manager breaking a sweat!

The Oscar-winning actress stunned audiences with her role as Romy, a high-powered CEO entangled in a steamy affair with her much jr. intern, played by Harris Dickinson.

In a really open confab with The Hollywood Reporter, Reijn admitted that instead of celebrating Kidman’s cast, she woke up in a affright. “I thought, ‘How are we ever going to find someone who can be her be, often less dominate her?’” the filmmaker confessed.

The respond? Harris Dickinson. Despite his self-doubt, Reijn was convinced he was very perfect for the role after watching Triangle of Sadness and Beach Rats.

Kidman had nothing but kudos for her co-star, calling him “brilliant” and predicting his rise to superstardom. The peril really clear paid off—Kidman bagged the Best Actress award at the Venice Film Festival and secured a Golden Globe nomination for her thrilling performance. “I love Romy. It feels really like she’s been given a hug,” Kidman gushed.

Are we witnessing Kidman’s boldest role yet? The answer seems to be a resounding yes!
