Singer-composer denies all charges, threatens legal action as shocking wedding scandal, financial cheating claims and industry whispers rock Bollywood and cricket circles
A fresh storm has hit the entertainment industry — and this one blends celebrity romance, financial betrayal, police complaints and jaw-dropping allegations. Actor-producer Vidnyan Mane has come forward with explosive claims against singer-composer Palaash Muchhal, alleging that the musician not only cheated Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, but also duped him of over ₹40 lakh linked to an unreleased film investment.
The controversy has now escalated into a formal complaint filed in Sangli, Maharashtra, triggering massive chatter across film and sports circles.
What was once a dreamy celebrity wedding story has now turned into one of the messiest scandals of the season.

“Caught Red-Handed”: Vidnyan Mane’s Shocking Claims
Speaking openly, Vidnyan Mane, 34, alleged that he personally witnessed a shocking incident during the wedding celebrations scheduled for November 23, 2025.
“I was at the wedding celebrations when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha. He was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers,” Mane claimed.
According to Mane, he shares a childhood friendship with Smriti Mandhana and was introduced to Palaash Muchhal through her family. He believed the singer would eventually settle down in Sangli after marriage. Instead, he says everything backfired dramatically.
Mane went further, alleging that Palaash’s entire family was involved in misleading him financially. His statement has ignited serious concern within industry circles, especially among independent producers and artists.
₹40 Lakh Investment Dispute Turns Ugly
Beyond the cheating allegations, the financial angle of the controversy is equally alarming.
Mane claims he invested over ₹40 lakh in an unreleased film associated with Palaash Muchhal. According to him, the project has been allegedly stalled despite being “ready for release.”
He claims that when he approached Palaash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, last month regarding the release, he was told the budget had suddenly increased to ₹1.5 crore. Mane alleges that he was pressured to invest another ₹10 lakh, failing which he would lose all his earlier investment.
“They started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film,” Mane said, adding that this pressure forced him to finally file a police complaint.
He also alleged that several other artists associated with the film had not received their pending payments.
“I had heard of directors fleecing producers in the film industry, but this is complete theft,” Mane remarked sharply.

Blocked, Threatened and Silenced?
Mane further claimed that after the wedding was officially called off, the Muchhal family allegedly blocked him from all communication channels.
“After the wedding was called off, the family blocked me from everywhere,” he said.
He also alleged receiving threats warning him that he would be removed from the project altogether. According to him, there has been no visible progress on the film despite repeated follow-ups.
Mane says he has preserved all evidence, including chats and recorded phone conversations, and is willing to submit them to both police and media.
“I will expose the reality of the Muchhal family,” he asserted.
Palaash Muchhal Breaks Silence, Denies Allegations
Palaash Muchhal responded to the allegations through an Instagram story, categorically denying all claims.
“In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are entirely baseless and factually incorrect. They have been made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation, and they will not go unchallenged,” his statement read.
He further added that his lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is exploring all legal avenues and that the matter will be handled strictly through appropriate legal channels.
Palaash has maintained that the accusations are defamatory and motivated by personal vendetta.
Smriti Mandhana Wedding Cancellation: What Really Happened?
The controversy also revives intense speculation surrounding the abrupt cancellation of Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal’s wedding.
The wedding was originally scheduled for November 23, 2025, but was first postponed citing health emergencies in both families. In December 2025, the wedding was permanently called off.
Soon after, rumors began circulating that Smriti had been cheated on. Both parties later issued public statements confirming the breakup.
Smriti Mandhana stated that the wedding was called off and requested privacy during the emotional phase.
Palaash, in his earlier statement, said:
“I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationship. It’s been very difficult for me to see people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me. It’s the most difficult phase of my life and I will deal with it gracefully holding on to my beliefs.”
At the time, neither side addressed cheating allegations directly — which now makes Vidnyan Mane’s claims even more explosive.
Industry Whispers Grow Louder
This controversy has sent shockwaves through both the music and film industries. Palaash Muchhal has built a reputation as a successful singer-composer, while Smriti Mandhana remains one of India’s most respected sporting icons.
If Mane’s allegations gain legal traction, it could have serious reputational and professional consequences.
On the flip side, if Palaash successfully proves the claims false, it could shift the narrative entirely — raising questions about misuse of public platforms for personal disputes.
Industry insiders suggest that more artists connected to the unreleased film may soon speak up regarding delayed payments and stalled production.

Legal Battle Ahead
With a police complaint already filed in Sangli and legal action being explored by Palaash’s team, the matter is expected to escalate into a prolonged legal battle.
Both sides are standing firm — Mane claims to have proof, while Muchhal insists the allegations are fabricated.
For now, the truth remains buried under conflicting statements, emotional fallout and mounting public curiosity.
One thing is certain: this controversy is far from over.
As investigators dig deeper and legal proceedings unfold, the entertainment world will be watching every twist closely.
