In a hilarious moment on The Breakfast Club, Paul Wall shared the story of the time he realized he was white—an eye-opening revelation that left everyone in stitches. The rapper and jeweler recalled not knowing his race until others pointed it out. “They were like, ‘You’re white. Why do you talk and act like that?’” he said. “And I was like, ‘What do you mean?’”
Wall, who grew up in a diverse neighborhood surrounded by Black, Mexican, and Asian friends, explained that he didn’t see race in the same way others did. He said the realization hit him in elementary or middle school when he started to notice the difference.
As if that wasn’t funny enough, Wall joked that his mom’s DNA test revealed she was 3% African, prompting him to quip, “She can’t say the N-word with that.” The remark had the Breakfast Club hosts in fits of laughter.
