Brace yourselves—Shivani Shivaji Roy is back on duty! Rani Mukerji has officially begun shooting for Mardaani 3, the much-awaited third installment of YRF’s gritty cop franchise. According to reports, the power-packed actress started filming on March 26 at Mumbai’s iconic Golden Tobacco factory in Vile Parle. After wrapping up intense scenes there, the action has now shifted to Yash Raj Studios in Andheri, where some major fight sequences are being canned.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 promises more thrills, stunts, and raw emotion. Insiders reveal that this time the storyline is “closer to home,” but the identity of the antagonist is still being kept tightly under wraps.
Rani, in her earlier statement, called stepping into Shivani’s shoes again a tribute to fearless cops everywhere. And if history is anything to go by, this lady in khaki never disappoints.
