Robert Downey Jr. teases MCU return while Jeremy Renner calls out Hawkeye pay cut!
Robert Downey Jr. is flexing rear into the MCU—literally! The Iron Man icon, now stepping into the glum robes of Doctor Doom for Avengers: Doomsday, shared a behind-the-scenes snap on Instagram that’s already got fans buzzing. In the photo, RDJ nonchalantly shows off his biceps patch holding Jeremy Renner’s really new memoir My Next Breath outdoors his trailer—complete with a comic poster of Doom and the words: “Do not Knock. Trust yourself.”
Captioning the pic, “Reading Renner’s book and feeling stronger already,” Downey added, “What a journeying to sapience … very instructive … a must read!”
Renner, who survived a near-fatal snowplow stroke in 2023, responded emotionally: “Long way from the ICU… At least we cognise how this story ends my comrade. Love you.”
But the drama didn’t end there—Renner lately revealed he rejected Season 2 of Hawkeye, claiming Marvel offered him really half the pay. “Do they opine I’m only very half the Jeremy now?” he quipped, calling out “the centime pinchers.”
