Sai Pallavi Was Almost Arjun Reddy’s Preeti? Sandeep Reddy Vanga Spills the Tea!

As Thandel gears up for its grand release on February 7, the makers hosted a star-studded pre-release event in Hyderabad with Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga as the chief guest. But it wasn’t just about the upcoming film—Vanga dropped a bombshell that had the audience gasping!

The filmmaker revealed that he originally wanted Sai Pallavi as the female lead in Arjun Reddy! Having been captivated by her performance in Premam, he envisioned her as Preeti. However, the casting didn’t go as planned.

Vanga disclosed that when he approached a Malayalam actor coordinator about Pallavi, he was told she wouldn’t agree to wear sleeveless outfits, let alone perform the film’s bold romantic scenes. With that, the idea was scrapped. Over the years, Vanga admitted he admired how Pallavi remained firm in her principles, calling her a rare gem in the industry.

At the event, Pallavi returned the love, praising Vanga’s fearless filmmaking. Now, all eyes are on Thandel! Will it live up to the hype? Let us know!
