Ben Affleck Pulls Double Duty in Netflix Thriller Animals—Gillian Anderson Joins the Ride!

Ben Affleck is back in action—both behindhand and in front of the camera!

The Hollywood heavyweight is directing and starring in Animals, a mysterious kidnapping thriller that’s already turning heads.

And if that wasn’t exciting plenty, Emmy-winner Gillian Anderson has signed on, making this one Netflix project to watch!

Originally, Affleck was set to direct while bestie Matt Damon took the guide. But after production delays and Damon’s programming conflicts (thanks a lot, Christopher Nolan!), Affleck decided to take matters into his own hands—literally. Now, he’s stepping up as the film’s leading man, and fans are hither for it!

Details on Animals are existence kept below very tight wraps, but with a script by Connor McIntyre and Billy Ray, positive backing from Affleck and Damon’s Artists Equity, expectations are sky-high. Shooting kicks off presently in L.A., and more cast announcements are on the way.
