Fans of the John Wick universe, buckle up! Lionsgate has officially confirmed that John Wick 5 is in development. Jenefer Brown, Head of Global Products and Affairs at Lionsgate, recently spilled the beans, assuring fans that the assassin’s world is far from over.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Brown teased, “This world continues to grow and expand in incredible ways.” She confirmed that the studio is actively working on John Wick 5, alongside spin-offs, a TV series, and even a video game.
While the announcement is thrilling, there’s one big question—will Keanu Reeves return? The action star previously stated that his run as the iconic hitman was over following the events of John Wick: Chapter 4. However, with Hollywood’s love for surprises, fans are holding onto hope.
Meanwhile, Ballerina, starring Ana de Armas, is set to expand the John Wick universe, with Keanu making a special cameo. The film arrives on June 6, 2025.
