Vicky Kaushal is going all out for Chhaava! The actor, who plays the fearless Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, revealed that director Laxman Utekar was dead serious about authenticity—so much so that he refused to start shooting until Vicky underwent a jaw-dropping transformation.
In a recent interview, the URI star admitted that gaining 25 kg of muscle was no joke—it took him a grueling seven months of training, including intense sword fighting, horse riding, and combat lessons. The catch? No VFX shortcuts! Utekar made sure every action sequence was as real as it gets, featuring 2,000 junior artists and 500 top stunt performers for an immersive battlefield experience.
Kaushal also hyped up Akshaye Khanna’s terrifying transformation as Aurangzeb, admitting he was shook when he first saw him in full costume. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna steps into the regal role of Maharani Yesubai.
With Chhaava hitting theaters on February 14, 2025, Vicky’s warrior makeover is set to take Bollywood by storm! Who’s ready for this epic saga?
