The shocking home invasion that left Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan injured has taken a new turn! Shariful Fakir, the Bangladeshi national accused of breaking into the actor’s Bandra residence and holding his family at knifepoint, has now applied for bail, claiming his arrest was “unlawful.”
Fakir, who was arrested three days after the January 16 attack, argues that the police failed to provide him with a copy of his arrest grounds, making his detention illegal. His legal team insists that the case is built on “imaginary allegations” and that no evidence proves intent to commit robbery or grievous harm.
For those who missed the drama, Fakir allegedly climbed 12 floors, entered Khan’s house via the bathroom, and demanded ₹1 crore while reportedly threatening the family. He was confronted by a staff nurse, attacked Khan’s son Jehangir’s room, and eventually stabbed the actor before fleeing.
